At the beginning of the movie “Burlesque”, the main character, played by Christina Aguilera song “Sometimes I get a good feeling. I get a feeling that I never never had before.” Played as a girl from the countryside and heading to Los Angels, facing numerous challenges in Burlesque, Christina Aguilera expressed the anxiety, expectation, and new hope toward life through this song. In my opinion, I think Something’s Got A Hold On Me is the best theme song in this movie. Through the melody and the lyrics, I can feel the vivid emotion of the main character in the movie by my own.
Born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, Christina appeared on television series as a child. She showed her wonderful talent when she was very young. Furthermore, Aguilera was established as a pop icon and has garnered honorific titles including “Princess of Pop”. She released more than ten albums and earned four Grammy Awards. Christina Aguilera also took part in the filming of movie. In 2010, she cooperated with Cher in the movie, Burlesque.
The first time I heard this song was when I watched the movie, Burlesque. I was profoundly attracted by the plot of Burlesque as well as its passionate, beautiful song. The lyrics mentions : " Let me tell you now/I got a feeling, I feel so strange/Everything about me seems to have changed/Step by step, I got a brand new walk. " At the very moment, I was deeply impressed by it. Live the brand new college life, which totally different from before, I also want to have my own steps in new way and be confident toward the challenges in the future.
